Getting Started - Utilities

To get started, we first need to decide whether your integration will be via MQTT or BATCH. Below you'll find information about the integration types to better understand each one, along with their advantages and disadvantages. After that, you'll also find information on how to proceed with your new integration.

BATCH Integration (.csv or .parquet)

If you want to receive information in a more organized and filtered way, in order to run analytics or reports on the data generated by the IoT devices, and you're fine receiving that data periodically without needing an immediate response, BATCH integration is the best option! In this case, you can choose to receive a .csv or a .parquet file with the generated information. In contrast to these benefits, you won't have real-time information, such as the presence of a potential customer in the store or the immediate reading of a piece of equipment.

MQTT Integration

If you want to receive real-time information to monitor events, potential consumer behavior, or other situations that require an immediate response, this is the best option! With MQTT integration, events detected by our IoT devices are sent to a server where your system can view them in real time, such as the presence of a potential customer in your store, or a device reading with fresh data. On the other hand, your system may often receive a lot of unnecessary, repeated, or unorganized information, which can be a problem if you need to run detailed analytics or reports.

How to proceed

After reviewing the integration types, we can define one together and proceed using one of the links below:

Raw data integration via MQTT

Processed data integration via BATCH
